Look out World! Will has arrived!

Wayne and I were lucky enough to be in town to see our new little nephew William Richard on his birthday. He was born on December 19 at 1:30 in the afternoon weighing 7 pounds, 5 ounces. Doesn't his papa look proud?? It was hard to hand him back to his parents when we had to leave. Coby and Phil are gonna be sick of us this Christmas fo-show!

Winter, Snow and Island

On a whim, Wayne and I made a weekend trip to the Island to check up on the Visscher clans there. We were able to see Dustin in action at his job, play the park in Ladysmith, hike to the amazing Kinsol Trestle, and take the parents out to the pub. All in all a sweet time and a little taste of Island winter.

Darcy, Leah and Maia take over the Fort

Darcy, Leah and Maia came to visit us in Fort McMurray on the last weekend in November. We showed them around the new office and took them for the classic bucket shot. It was so much fun to play with our new little niece and poke her fat roles :) What a beautiful little girl. We hope they come to see us again soon!!

Thanksgiving 2007

For Thanksgiving we went to visit Mom, Dad, Dustin and Kristen on the Island. We had 4 days and we packed it full of walks, food and general good quality family time. We split logs as tradition demands to fill Dad's wood shed and since Dusty and Kristen have their own wood stove, we filled theirs up as well. The D&K Inn (aka Dustin and Kristen's place) looks amazing. They did a really sweet job of making it look good. We were pretty impressed. Wayne and I (not to be outdone by all the Visscher hospitality) hosted a wiener roast on our property - the first gathering of many that we hope to have there. Unfortunately, Dustin was a little disappointed when the champagne we got was not in celebration of the announcement he was hoping for :) We had a great time and are looking forward to the next trip out whenever that might be!

More Maia...

Maia was baptised on August 5 in Edmonton and Darcy and Leah had a BBQ at their house after. As you can see, Maia got to spend a lot of time with Oma and Gramps who couldn't get enough of her. We look foward to watching her grow and being her favourite aunty and uncky :)

Maia Scarlett Visscher - Newest member of Team Sweet

Maia was born on Friday, July 13 to my brother Darcy and Leah. We went down to Edmonton and saw her this past weekend - she is 2 days old in these pictures. She is a little doll and we can hardly believe how little and beautiful she is. Leah and Darc are doing awesome. Maia is the first grandchild on the Visscher and Martin side, as well as our first niece. We just love her already!
